Test Your Knowledge About Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Jennifer Attmore, M.D., Geriatrics

Alzheimer’s disease affects an estimated 6.2 million Americans, and approximately 400,000 of them are Texans, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Dementia is a syndrome in which there is deterioration in memory, thinking, behavior and the ability to perform everyday activities. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia and may contribute to 60 – 70% of cases.

But there is still a lot of misinformation around the disease. So, in recognition of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, we partnered up with Jennifer Attmore, M.D., a geriatric medicine physician on the medical staffs at Texas Health Allen and Texas Health Adult Care, a Texas Health Physicians Group Practice, to test your knowledge and help inform you and your loved ones.
